Chapter 12
I Thirst
Lord Jesus Your word says our focus is to keep our eyes on the Victory, keeping our faith on the author and finisher of our faith. In Hebrews 12 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus, you are our Author the Greek word, meaning a chief leader, beginning, first and finisher is the Greek word meaning completer or last) of our faith. We are to keep looking to You, Jesus, and not to the how when why of things. You are the author and finisher of our faith; our part is to just stand on Your word You give us. Lord Jesus in Your Ministry on earth, you only said what the Father said and You only did what the Father did. Lord Jesus You are the perfect example, you said to your disciples “if you see me you see the Father.” Looking at the Father got You through the tremendous death and Glorious Resurrection. Lord Jesus through Your cross and Resurrection Your life, you as a Man, all that You walked through, your time on earth, you walked in total Victory, help us see how you did this, please.

Lord Jesus out of all the things beatings beyond recognition, unbelievable cruel treatment that you went through on the way to the cross and on the cross then three days in the lowest pit, you never took your eyes off the Father. Knowing what was the joy that was set before you, despising the shame, and You sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. I can say You latterly when through Hell; and Glory raised you Up!!!!
Lord Jesus, what stands out in my mind when I read the word of Your death and resurrection, all that You went through you said but few words Jesus, just before Your death and resurrection, Lord, through Your Holy Spirit please reveal what You are saying.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, I thirst.
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, it is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost John 19:28- 30

I thirst, what did that mean I thirst? Jesus, you were beaten wiped spit on all manner of torture and yet You make the statement “I thirst”?
I have pondered the fact that You said “I thirst”, Lord, why I thirst?

In my spirit, I received, that was when Jesus Himself took apron Him all sin and death of mankind it was not the thirst to drink for the body but the extreme dryness apart from the living water. He had all mankind’s sins, our grief’s, our sorrows, our transgressions, our iniquities, our chastisement of our peace and took it all for our healing in every area of our life.
He was separate from God His Father for us. Jesus felt the pain of separation from God and He Himself was the first to repent for mankind, when He said I thirst.
He was speaking repentance. His whole life pointed to The Father in saying I Thirst He was calling to God with His last breath the Word! Glory……………

The Lord said when you read my word, read it in LOVE all that the Father is, is love. His entire life Jesus spoke the way for us to see His Father. Our walk is to walk with our eyes on the word as Jesus did. Jesus knew the Word the Good News His Gospel the way of salvation.

Psalm 143:6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirst after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. And He said “I thirst”
Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit fails: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. And He said “I thirst”
Psalm 42: My soul thirst for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, where is thy God?
He placed all His trust, Faith in the Word. And He said “I thirst”

Psalm 63: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirst for thee, my flesh long for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
He kept His eyes on God’s power to glory. And He said “I thirst”

Psalm 69: Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
Jesus knew why He came, to set the captives free. The Lord said Luke 4: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
He said “It is Finished;” He Knew also of the Victory

Isaiah 41:When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fail for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
Isaiah 44:Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. One shall say, I am the LORD’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
Thus, saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”
Glory to God! And He gave up the Ghosts. But His eyes never left the Father
Jesus knew what was to come, first He knew who He was and He knew who His Father is and He knew the scriptures. His eyes never left the father or what He was called to do.
Matt 12: Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seek after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
John 4: Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drink of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. And He said “I thirst”

Colossians 2: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. And He said “I thirst”

His eyes never left the Fathers Thrown.

Isaiah 25 Oh Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels (plan also prudence) of old are faithfulness and truth.
Jesus’s eyes were always on the Father, knowing the word.
For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
Therefore, shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Faithful Father always Faithful
Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. Isaiah 25:
His eyes never left the Fathers Thrown, He knew He had Victory!!

Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; That thou may say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. Isaiah :49
And He said “I thirst”

Revelation 7: After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sit upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God,
Saying, amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou know. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore, are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sites on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
This is a picture of a small glimmer of what is to come but Jesus knows, Jesus had His faith on, Heavens Throne were The Father is. And were He is!
This is the perfect example to follow. When the enemy start his junk, sometimes it is very overwhelming, you have Jesus to look to and He gives you His word to help get you through all you could ever come up to.

Following His example, He kept His eyes on the Father and the word all the time, all the way to total Victory.
No matter what you walk in or go through as long as you are in Christ you have the Total Victory. Jesus paid the price in full. I am not saying it is always a walk in the park, which is why the word is so very important to put in your heart. We all have times when things may get overwhelmed, that circumstances seem to get to you. Times when you may need the body of Christ, to reach out to for comfort or to comfort others. You have not been made islands to yourself, but one Body in Him tightly knit together in love. You need others in fellowship and communication one to another. Knowing the word and walking in love and faith in God, you have the help to rise you up.
Go to the word of God find your own scripture to get you into your place of victory in Christ. So, you can stand on God’s word and not be moved no matter what comes at you. You are then rooted and built up in Him, established in faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving and praise to the Father.
Jesus is our High Priest the vail was town. We can now go in the Holy of Holy’s through the Blood of the Lamb. You and I are cleansed from all unrighteousness. We are more than concurs in Christ Jesus. We can walk in victory He will never leave us or forsake us. He Loves us He Loves loves loves loves loves “You”
But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:

And if it is everlasting, it is NOW
Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory to God!
Thank You Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! Thank You Father God!
Amen.
