You all know that Satan is a liar; and he will use anything and everything to trick you. You will know he will even use the word of God; in fact, it worked with Eve. If Satan can keep you in doubt of what the Word says and your mind on the wrong you may think you have done, and not on what the word says or that Jesus paid in full the price needed for your redemption. Satan will try to keep you from walking in the faith you have in Christ and he is able to steal the Glory God has for you. But the word of God says;

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (kjv)

Let’s look at just a few examples of how the word has been watered down to keep God’s people from fully understanding who they are in Christ and what they have to help walk this walk of Faith through love.

A Man-God Named Jesus

Christians are called peculiar people, so laugh and say yes we are a strange and odd people and then say; oh I like being odd if it is for God. But what does God say!!!!!!!

And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou may be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken. Deut. 26:18-19 (kjv) “For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.” (Deuteronomy 14:2 kjv)

The Hebrew Old Testament word is “gulla” and it is saying treasured possession. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; (Praise God!) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10 (kjv)

The Greek New Testament word is “peripoiesis” posses- sion, property, sharing in, gaining, purchased possession. Jesus paid a tremendous price to purchase God’s treasured possession. To God we are a treasured possession, how cool is that?

You also hear” God doesn’t give you more than you can take or handle” then you somehow make a joke of it and think I must be strong cause He sure is loading it on. But what is the word saying? First of all it is talking about a Temptation, not trouble or sickness or financial problems;

It says “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 kjv) Let’s look at the word temptation; the act of tempting; enticement or allurement. Something that tempts, entices, or allures. A fact or state of being tempted, especially to do evil.

Hello! God does not tempt us!!!

This kind of thinking leads you to think God is giving you all these bad things; sickness, family trouble, poverty, brokenness, desire to sin; the list goes on. And that you are the one that is going to have to do the overcoming. Thinking like this takes your mind off the real overcoming POWER, The Word of God. And if a temptation to sin comes at you, you think I just can’t do it, or you try in your own strength and it doesn’t work. You don’t have to; it is Christ in you and the word of God that is your SOURCE of POWER.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:1-5 (KJV)

A Man-God Named Jesus

I was raised in upstate New York around the great lakes; we would go for drives and certain times of year we would go to Watkins Glen and the farmlands to pick Cherries and Grapes. Talk about a marvelous time, I would find a “great cherry tree” and prop myself up in it and eat the fruit till it was time to leave. Needless to say my pail was not full when it was time to go. My father would say we will have to start weighing you before we start and then again after. Anyways; in the vineyard’s the vine dresser who cared for the vines would walk the vineyards and carefully look things over. If he found a branch laying on the ground, he knew it would not be able to produce fruit, so he would gently raise the branch up and he would brace the branch with the needed support, and then that branch would in fact produce fruit. We have a loving and tender caring God, who Satan does not want you to realize how LOVING He is. The word says that There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man. So with fellowship one to another in the love of God, the word of God in your heart, the blood of Jesus, you are able to overcome. It says God is faithful and able to make a way of escape. God would not tempt you and then give you a way out, God is not the one tempting you to sin or to fall short of the glory. He is not the tempter, but will in fact provide a way out. Glory be to God.
